Owner and founder, Philip Matthews, started Duck and Strut Outdoors LLC in 2011. Philip’s passion for the outdoors started at a young age when he became involved with Boy Scouts and was introduced to deer hunting. At the age of 10 Philip took his first whitetail, a doe, and that experience is what hooked him for life.
Philip’s passion for whitetail hunting quickly grew to include upland game, turkeys and waterfowl. Waterfowl fever is what ultimately pushed Philip to get involved with Ducks Unlimited. Between the time he served as Chairman of the Boone, North Carolina DU Chapter to when he eventually chaired the Columbia, South Carolina DU board, Philip founded Duck and Strut to share his passion for waterfowl and hunting in general. Our goal was to make high quality product to help hunters of all skill levels have more successful hunts. We hope that you enjoy our products as much as we do, and we look forward to helping you put more meat on your table and more trophies on the wall.
